Thanks to all who contributed to Back to Church Sunday. It was great to see so many in Church and to continue our fellowship with ice cream and a Teddy Bears Picnic afterwards! The collection at the service was in aid of Unicef’s Get a Vaccine, Give a Vaccine campaign. We are still accepting donations to this appeal.
We are proud to join UNICEF Ireland’s #GetaVaccineGiveaVaccine
campaign, helping to get vaccines to the world’s most vulnerable.
On Sunday 19th September, Back to Church Sunday, we are asking parishioners and friends to dig deep and, from a place of gratitude and generosity, to donate to this excellent campaign.
We will have special collections in Church on that day, or you can donate through the parsh office. As little as €5 can provide a vaccine, but we are asking the community to really support this. We can help address vaccine inequity around the world.
UNICEF has been called upon to deliver more than two billion vaccines by the end of 2021. This will be the largest, and fastest immunization program in history and they need our help.
We have an opportunity to be part of the solution. It’s an ambitious task but together we can meet this challenge and bring an end to COVID-19 for everyone, everywhere.
