Giving
If you would like to make a donation you can …
- Contribute to the collection taken at services
- Use the Card Tap Contactless Terminal in the church
- Send funds by electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the parish bank account
- Send a cheque to the Parish Office payable to ‘Zion Church’
- Speak to Deirdre in the Office or to the Rev’d David if you need more information
Tap Card Machine at the Back of the Church:
A CARD TAP / CONTACTLESS TERMINAL has been installed at the back of the church to enable parishioners and visitors to donate to Zion Parish using their credit or debit card. It is linked to the parish bank account. Collections during services will continue but, should you be short of cash, there is the option of donating on your way out by card so that parish may benefit from your generosity. Please note that this is not intended to replace ‘regular giving’ by means of weekly envelope or standing order. These donations enable the parish to claim back tax, so should be continued.
What we Believe about Giving
As a community we are made stronger by giving and receiving together. Each of us has been given certain gifts by God and we each give as we are able.
We receive no funding towards our ministry and mission and are grateful for all donations.
Zion Parish is a charity and the finances are managed in an open and transparent way by a group called the Select Vestry. These people are elected at our AGM (The Easter General Vestry) and are the legal trustees of the parish. There is further information on the Governance page.
